Acrylic paints on medium texture acrylic primed 22.9 x 30.5 (9” x 12”) cm canvas.

For this piece I wanted to go for a horror/creepy kind of look while focusing on techniques that show drapery (the veil and cloak). With the fabrics I tried to focus on the definition of the light reflecting onto the face and cloak. I then gave a white outline onto the cloaked figure as if to show the contrast of the cloaked figure with the light figure. The light figure is meant to be a bright void being which I tried to convey with a white glow along the edges. I also gave some definition to the light figure. With the composition I stuck to the rule of thirds, having it positioned to the left grids. While I like this piece, I could improve on having more contrast on the cloaked figure and tidier shapes.
