Form & Light Pieces:
For light study pieces, I tend to struggle with replicating simple poses or poses with subtle lighting, and found the pieces with dynamic and moving poses with unique/harsher lighting definitely turned out a lot better. With the shading I wanted to show form and depth, some pieces show this more than others. Most proportions turned out relatively well, but I do think I could improve it more as well as more defining shading in a lot of areas.
Gestures:
For gestures drawings I wanted to convey weight and movement which I felt were adequetly shown here. Unfortunately I do think I need to improve on my linework as it does tend to get messy quite fast. I am happy with the proportions however some could use more work. The use of props in many of these gesture drawings helped elevate that sense of weight and movement, strengthening the overall poses. I feel the movement is strongly conveyed in these pieces.
Anatomy Studies:
For anatomy studies, I looked at faces, hands, feet and torso/chest. With these pieces I wanted to show movement, folds and form of the different parts of the body. As previously mentioned, I do feel more confident in drawing more dynamic poses with interesting angles and silhouettes. I used broad pencil strokes for the folds and soft shading for dimension and form, however I could definitely work on proportions and being more bold in terms of shading.
